The below is so right on…my manuscript address the both/and… rejection touches a place in us, a wound that hasn’t been healed… We’re taught transcendence but what about integration… The rejection might land better if we follow it home.

Good Rejection and feedback aren’t really about me as a person. Sometimes they’re about the market. Sometimes they’re about trends. And sometimes they’re about the work itself. My job is to learn what I can from each experience and then get back to writing.

I feed my creativity the same way I try to nourish every other area of my life: by making room for joy, love, peace, kindness, ease, and self-control. Those things aren’t separate from the creative process for me; they’re part of it. When I cultivate them, I find that I’m much less likely to be derailed by disappointment or uncertainty….
